Mrs. Bill Koomsa was a member of the Kiowa Indian tribe.
She and her husband were well-known leaders among the Kiowas, sponsoring several tribal activities that included leading a dance group that participated in many out-of-state events.
They had one son, Bill Koomsa, Jr., of Carnegie; five daughters, Minnie Bell, Wilda Ann and Peggy of the home, Mrs. Angeline Wetselline, Carnegie, and Mrs. Martha Perez of Tecos, TX; four sisters, Mrs. Cecilia Dupoint, Mrs. Mary Haumpy and Mrs. Ivy Ware, all of Carnegie, and Mrs. Elsie Ahgoon of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Sam and Adrian Satepauhoodle, Carnegie.
