MARY MUNDELL
Mary Eliza Anderson was born August 1, 1877, in Bartholomew county, Ind., and passed away November 12, 1965, in Lucas county, Iowa, at the age of 88 years, two months and 12 days.
With her parents, John Wesley and Louisa Kettle Anderson, she moved to Kearney county, Nebr., at the age of 1 1/2 years. When she was 13 the family moved to Lucas county, Iowa.
After her marriage to William Jasper Mundell on September 16, 1896, they moved to the home farm south of Lucas where she lived for 67 years. To this union were born five children, Amy Esther Snook, Corydon; Clarence Lester, who passed away in 1963; Harold Edward, Derby; Floy Mildred Avery, Derby; and Phyllis Bernice Heston, of Lucas.
The fourth child of 12 brothers and sisters, she was the last surviving member. She also was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1936, a son in 1963 and five grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, three daughters, a daughter-in-law, three sons-in-law, 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, plus nieces and nephews and many friends.
Services were held at the Goshen Baptist church Sunday, Nov. 14 at 2 p.m., with the Rev. James Nelson officiating. She was a member of this church for over 50 years. Burial was in the Goshen cemetery.
