Martha Bell was born to the late Ernest Burns & Mary M. Blevins, in the small rural town of Spanish Fort, which is located in Sharkey County, Mississippi. She married the late Wesley Taylor Sr. of Yazoo County, Mississippi in November of 1928 and had 17 children in all. She was preceded in death by her husband Wesley Sr., mother Mary M. Blevins-Talbert, youngest son Wallace Charles Taylor (child #13) and granddaughter, Edna Earl Taylor of Chicago, IL. She passed at the wonderful old age of 86 and left 16 children, 85 grand children, 80 great-grand children, and a host of friends and extended family, to cherish her memory.
