Alice Pearl began her earthly journey on March 15, 1954. She was the 14th child born to the union of Wesley Taylor Sr. and Martha Bell (Burns) Taylor in Louise, Humphreys County, Mississippi.

Pearl accepted Christ as Lord and Savior at a very young age at Holiday Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. To know Pearl was to know someone who loved the Lord with all of their heart, all of their mind and all of their soul. In life, she freely helped and advised so many people with her spiritual wisdom. It is believed that she left this life with an under estimation of just how many people loved, admired and appreciated her for all she had done for them. She was the perfect example of "Christ's Follower" to all who knew her. She was a loving and doting mother to her children, Angela and Mack. She always told them:

"Whatever you do for others in life, do it without expectation of a thank you, acknowledgment or a returned kind gesture."

Pearl graduated from Montgomery High School in Louise, MS in 1972. Her siblings say that Pearl was a cosmopolitan girl growing up in rural Mississippi. They say that she always stayed current on the latest and greatest in skin and hair care and that history was her passion. After completing a year of her higher education at Jackson State University she moved to Flint, Michigan in 1974. She raised her family and helped a sister and brother raise their children, there. She later returned to her education and graduated from the University of Michigan Flint with a Bachelor's degree. She then began a rewarding career with The State of Michigan, Department of Human Services where she was admired by her colleagues.

Pearl completed her earthly journey on June 26, 2015 and joined those relatives whom preceded her in finishing their earthly courses. Parents Wesley and Martha Bell (Burns) Taylor; brothers Earnest L. and Wallace Taylor; sisters Edna E. Stewart and Ruthie Mae McClain; nephews Ronald Hampton, Kenny Lloyd, Preston Lloyd Jr., Marc Anthony McClain, Dwayne Taylor and John Earl Taylor and nieces Edna E. Taylor and Elisa L. Taylor.

She leaves to cherish her memory four brothers, eight sisters, one daughter a son and daughter-in-law.
