Albert Helms,88, of Lamont IA died Monday, Jan. 8, 1996, in Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, after a short illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, St. Mary's Catholic Church, by the Rev. Dennis Juhl. Burial, with military rites: St. Albert's Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Thursday at Fawcett Funeral Home, Lamont, where a rosary begins at 7 p.m.
Survivors include three daughters, Lorraine Sheeley of Cedar Rapids, Lavonne Streeter of Maquoketa and Alene Feldhacker of Waterloo, Neb.; two sons, Harold of Des Moines and Mike of Bucyrus, Kan.; five sisters, Della Rule, Lillian Wessels and Freda Dozark, all of Lamont, Margaret Steele of Central City and Mildred Cree of Waterloo; and a brother, Bernie of Lamont.
Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
