Sidney A. Cox Dies Suddenly
Sidney A. Cox, 77, well known farmer of this vicinity, fell dead while sitting in a chair at his home south of Anabel at 2:15 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, December 20. A son of Moses Allen and Sarah Jane Cox, he was born in Macon county, Mo., on August 12, 1862. Practically all of his life was spent as a farmer in that locality. He was a member of the Bethlehem Methodist Church. Surviving relatives include his wife, the former Miss Rosa Luck, whom he married June 6, 1885; two sons, Asa V. Cox of Milwaukee, Wis., Allen Cox of Anabel, and a brother Lewis Cox of Excello, Mo. Funeral services were held at 2:00 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Bethlehem Church with the Rev. L. G. Maggart of Shelbina officiating. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery.
