Helen Marie Rudy Merkley, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, returned peacefully home to her Father in Heaven on January 14, 1993 of a stroke at Duchesne County Hospital with those she loved around her.
She began her life on earth September 13, 1935 in Roosevelt, Utah, born to Czar and Margaret Miles Rudy. She married Steven "Kipp" Merkley on December 14, 1953 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. The things she loved most in life were music, her family, and her Savior. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church and lovingly served in numerous positions.Survived by husband, Kipp; four children, Rosemarie Schmutz and husband Dale, Debra Moon and husband Wendell, Steven Merkley and wife Michelle of Layton, Marilyn Crittenden and her husband Brent; 19 grandchildren; three brothers, Orvil M. Rudy, Wayne F. Rudy, Donald H. Rudy; three sisters, Kathryn Hall, Glenda Brosuis and Mary McLean. Preceded in death by a sister, Rosamond Mensing.
