Orvil Rudy "Bul" Orvil Miles Rudy, age 86, passed away peacefully early afternoon Wednesday, October 31, 2007, at the Salt Lake VA Hospital.He was born April 4, 1921 in Fort Duchesne, Utah, the eldest of eight children, to Margaret Elvira Miles Rudy and Czar Felix Rudy. Orvil worked as a milkman for Meadow Gold Dairy, and then with the state parks services, as a ranger, as well as serving in many positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as a paratrooper with the 101st Airborne Division for the United States Air force. His passion for the outdoors included boating, water skiing, fishing, snow mobiling and hauling firewood. He loved to dance with his daughter and wife. He was always there for his daughter and grandchildren, being an example, in talking of his beliefs and living a life that followed them. He is survived by his daughter, Martha Ellyn Rudy, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, threesisters and two brothers. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Even though he will be greatly missed we know he is dancing with his wife in eternal happiness. We love you, Bul! Funeral services will be held Monday, 12 noon at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road where a viewing will be held Monday, 11-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
