Charles W. Haworth, 68 of Des Moines, Iowa, died at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. He was born in St. Joseph, Illinois and had graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in agriculture. He taught vocational agriculture for many years before joining Bankers Life Company. He started his career in Champaign, Illinois as a field representative and was transferred to Des Moines in 1956 as a loan supervisor. Mr. Haworth served on the direct mortgage loan staff for twenty-four years before retiring in 1969. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and a member of the board of directors of Homes of Oakridge. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Dale Haworth; a son, a daughter, a sister, Mrs. Lucile Swearingen; and five grandchildren.
