Jean LEWIS, 77, 2617 Wolf's Point Dr., Rochester, died at 8:11 a.m. Tuesday at her home. She had been in failing health for six months.
Born in Rochester to Harley H. and Frances PRIZER HAGGERTY, she married Paul WALTERS. He died in 1980. She married James R. LEWIS March 25, 1993. He survives.
Mrs. Lewis, a lifetime Rochester resident, was a homemaker, bookkeeper and worked in the family business. She was a Rochester High School graduate and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Surviving with her husband, at home, are one sister, Mrs. Joan H. BUNN, Rochester, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death with her first husband were her parents, one daughter, Barbara Ann LEWIS in 1973, two grandsons, Rodney James LEWIS in 1976 and Gregory Allen LEWIS in 1965, three sisters, Louise MILLER, Mildred BURKETT and one in infancy; one brother, Roy HAGGERTY.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester, with Rev. Ron PURKEY officiating. Burial is at Rochester IOOF Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and 9 a.m. until services Friday. Memorials may be made to Hope Hospice or Fulton County Cancer Society.
