It is unknown at this time who Elizabeth's parents were. We do know that her sister "Sousan" was living with her and her husband and children in Winn Parish in 1880. Her place of birth is recorded as Florida on the 1860 and 1880 censuses and Louisiana on the 1900 census. The 1900 census is where we get her year and month of birth. It is not even known how to spell her maiden name. When she married Jesse B. Pepper in Union County, AR, March 5, 1854, it was written Maulton. When her sister appears on the census with her, it is Molton. Jesse and Elizabeth had the following children:

Florence F. Pepper
Osena A.G. Pepper
Franklin Benjamin Pepper
Mary A. Pepper
Ezeriah Pepper

Elizabeth died sometime after the 1900 Winn Parish census (she was living with son Ezeriah and his family) and is reported to be buried in Transport Cemetery with her husband.
