"One name that spans 3 generations, (medical families) is that of BUSH.
Dr. Robert Porter Bush was one of the early physicians in Horseheads, practicing there from 1874 to his death 1923.
He served 13 terms in the State Legislature and was instrumental in effecting the passage of many bills associated with the medical profession.
His son, DR. ELLIOT T. BUSH, became a specialist in kidney diseases and practiced urology for 28 years until his death in 1944.
His grandson, DR. ELLIOT BUSH, JR., carries on the family tradition as an Elmira surgeon." (this is printed 1975).
