Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today for Mrs. G. C. Benton, 83, a Rosenberg resident who died Monday in Polly Ryon Hospital after a brief illness.
Roy Verner and Joe Wrape officiated at the services held at the First Street Church of Christ. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
She was preceded in death by her husband, G.C. Benton and daughter, Mrs. P.K. Rude. Survivors include sons Chester of Needville, Arthur of Beasley, and Ralph of Rosenberg; daughters Mrs. Doicy Grant and Mrs. Katherine Semon, both of Rosenberg and Mrs. Jaunita Drake of Eagle Lake; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
