He was survived by his wife, Pauline; 1 son, Lowell Hillen of Champaign, Illinois; 2 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Estelle Schleeper of Brussels, and Mary Tepen of Batchtown, Illinois; 4 brothers, George Hillen of St. Louis, Missouri, John Hillen of Hardin, Illinois, Clem Hillen of Meppen, and Bernard Hillen of Batchtown.

In addition to his mother and father, Frank was preceded in death by 2 brothers; and 1 sister.

Visitation was held at the Brussels Mortuary on 12 Dec 1964. A rosary was recited on 13 Dec 1964 at 7:30 p.m. A Requiem High Mass was conducted at 9 a.m. the following morning at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Meppen.
