James Fausett, 70, of Caruthersville, formerly of Marston, died Aug. 8, 1995 in Memphis. Born Dec. 20, 1924 in Ridgely, Tenn., he was the son of James Marvin and Daisey Ladd Fausett.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Charlene Treadway Fausett of Caruthersville; A son, James Fausett Jr. of San Diego; Two daughters, Pamela Brady of Urbana, Ill., and Marion June Larribeau of Idaho; A stepson, Jeffrey Johnson of Keithville, La.; Four sisters, Geraldine Lane of Jackson, Mo., Opal Newcomb and Legretta Sipult, both of Sikeston, and Bernice Greenway of Green Cove Springs, Fla.; A brother, Randall Fausett of Lansing, Mich.; Four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mrs. Doris Hawks Fausett; three brothers, Bernard Loyd, Bobby Wayne and Charles David Fausett; and a sister, Evelyn Johnson.
Services were Aug. 11 at 1 p.m. at the Church of God in Caruthersville, the Rev. Wayne Wheatley officiating, with burial in Mounds Cemetery in Lilbourn, Jimmy Osburn Funeral Home of Hayti in charge.
