She is the oldest daughter of James Beckner, West Main street, and Mrs. Martha Beckner, the latter deceased, and was born in Waynesboro, and lived here all her life until three years ago. Twelve years ago she married to S. E. Hacker, who was in charge of the shipping department of the Geiser Mfg. Co. Three years ago they moved to Baltimore, where Mr. Hacker holds a responsible position in a machine shop.
She was a member of the Lutheran church and of the Sunday school and Christian Endeavor of the church. She was a woman of much beauty of character and had numerous friends here who will sincerely regret her death. She is survived by her husband, S. E. Hacker, and three children, Raymond, Margaret and Marcella, Baltimore; her father, James Beckner, and these sisters and brothers; Mrs. J. E. Shryock, Mrs. Otto Spangler, Miss Ruth Beckner and Walter E. Beckner, Waynesboro, [Pa], the latter a traveling representative of the Standard Oil Co,: Charles F, Greencastle, Arthur C. and Wilbur R. at home.
The remains of Mrs. Hacker were brought to Waynesboro on the 8:12 W. M. R. R. train Saturday and taken to the home of her father, No 350 West Main street.
Funeral services, Monday 10 a, m., at house, conducted by Rev. C [or O] H Rockey. Interment in Green Hill cemetery.
