Mrs. C. Clouser, widow of the late Wm. Clouser, died Wednesday morning of last week at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elsie Smith, in Harrisburg, from cancer of the stomach, aged 84 years, 5 months and 3 day.
The deceased was a daughter of the late James and Mary (Willard) Clegg and was born in Coatesville, Chester county. Her parents emigrated from England to this country, and came from Coatesville to this place when the deceased was a child.
She was married to Wm. Clouser, of this place, and here she resided until three years ago when she went to Harrisburg to live with her children. Mr. Clouser died August 22, 1901.
The deceased is survived by the following children, all of whom were at her funeral. Mrs. Tessie Huss, of Miller township; Sadie Reynolds, Mrs. Miranda Fry, and Mrs. Elsie Smith, of Harrisburg, Pa.; Mrs. Maud Perrine, of Baltimore, Md., and Alonzo Clouser, of Saville township, this county. Two brothers also survive, Joseph Clegg, of Iona, Kansas, and C. T. Clegg, of this place.
The deceased was a faithful and devoted wife and mother, and had been a member of the M. E. church from girlhood.
The remains of Mrs. Clouser were brought to this place Friday morning and interment was made in the family burial plot in the cemetery.

Dear Mother! She has gone down the Valley, the dark death Valley.
We will see her face never more,
'Till we pass down the Valley, the dark death Valley
And meet her on the other shore.
Peacefully sleep, peacefully sleep,
'Till that morning when Jesus shall bid you rise and hail him in triumph descending the skies.
