Clara Austin Clara Lee Austin, 82, died Jan. 22, 1991 in the Lee County Hospital in Pennington Gap, Va. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 25, in the chapel of Thurman Funeral Home. Bob Sorrell will officiate at the services. Interment will follow in the Glade Creek Cemetery.
She is survived by two daughters, Treva Hufford of Virginia and Laura P. Reeves of Ohio; one son, James T. Austin of Virginia; one brother, Carl Simmons of Kentucky; three sisters, Maggie Mae Petelek of Illinois, Pearl Scott of Sparta, and Verla Deaton of Georgia; 12 grandchildren.
