Virginia Beach - Treva Matzen Hufford, 88, passed away on Dec. 17, 2016. She was born May 6, 1928 in Greenville, KY to the late Jack and Clara Austin. Treva was lovingly known as Nanny to so many. She cared for others and devoted her time to her family. She was an avid bridge player and bowler, and was an active member of her local AARP Chapter.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Warren "Andy" Matzen and her second husband, Harold Hufford. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Tony Matzen (Mindy); daughters, Sheila Bice (Larry), Donna Faison, and Debbie Matzen; ten grandchildren, Joseph Jackson (Joan), Michael Jackson (Amber), Chris Jackson (Lisa), Laurie Craig (Ryan), John "Bob" Faison Jr., Arin Faison, Whitney Busby (Kris), Morgan Hissom (Jimmy), Charity Dunlap (Josh), and Shippley Watson (Samantha); and thirteen great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Nanny's life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tues., Dec. 20, 2016 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. You may offer condolences to the family at www.kellumfuneralhome.com. Memorial donations may be made to the Vetshouse Inc. or Chesapeake Beach Vol. Fire & Rescue Dept.
