MASON
Hazel Irene Adcock, daughter of Elmer and Lizzie Adcock, was born January 10 1895, in Monroe County, Iowa, and departed this life September 16, 1975, at Centinela Valley Hospital in Inglewood, Calif., at the age of 80 years, 8 months and 6 days.
Her early life was spent in Monroe County, then on December 6, 1915, she was united in marriage to Clifford J. Mason, and they then moved to Chariton. She lived in Chariton until recently when she left to accompany her son to California.
Hazel accepted Christ as her Savior early in life and has been very active in church activities since that time.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her only son, Keith; daughter-in-law, Linda; four grandchildren, Beverly, Keith Jr., Denis and Diane; two great-grandchildren, Kerilyn and Cheryl, all of California; one sister, Mabel Gladson and one brother, Byron Adcock, of Chariton; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Clyde Sparks of Van Meter, at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at the Christ United Methodist Church. Interment was in the Chariton Cemetery.
