Funeral services for Tosten Musgjerd were held on April 8 at the Vang Lutheran Church, Doctor Terence E. Fretheim officiating. Mrs. Elmer Taxdahl rendered one vocal selection, "The Lord's My Shepherd," accompanied by Mrs. Cyrus Midje, the church organist. Bennie Neseth, Roy Hennen, Joseph Braaten, Oscar Nesseth, Raymond Lee and Richard Underdahl served as pallbearers. Interment took place at the Little Cannon cemetery. Tosten Musgjerd of rural Nerstrand passed away at the Zumbrota Community Convalescent Home in Zumbrota, on April 5, at the age of 69. The son of Ole and Christine Hoverstad Musgjerd, he was born in Holden township, Goodhue county, on Feb 9, 1901. He was baptized and confirmed at the former Little Cannon Lutheran Church. July 29, 1929, he was united in marriage to Alma Odegaard at the home of her parents in rural Nerstrand. They established their home in Holden township, where he resided his entire life. He is survived by his widow, Alma; one son, Obert of Nerstrand; two daughters, Sonia (Mrs Arlyn Gunhus) of Zumbrota and Alice (Mrs Robert Adamson) of Austin; 12 grandchildren; one brother, Martinus Musgjerd of Nerstrand; and one aunt, Mrs. Inga Dahlen, a resident of the Kenyon Susnet Home. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Olaf Musgjerd.
