OBIT: "Mrs. Martha I. Kerfoot Brown, 80 of 1310 Oak Ave., died early Tuesday in her home. She had been in failing health one year. She was born and reared in Clarks Hill but spent most of her adult life in Lafayette. She was first married Lewis Kerfoot, who died in 1938. Her second marriage was to Lonnie M. Brown. He preceded her in death in 1964. Mrs. Brown as a member of Pentecostal Church of God. Surviving are several daughters, Mrs. Fon (Loretta) Moore and Mrs. Robert (Lucille) Cruea, both of West Point, Mrs. Beulah Pike, Mrs. James (Opal) Likens, Mrs. Robert (Violet) Daggert and Mrs. Don (Cloria) Lowery, all of Lafayette, and Mrs. Neil (Kay) Bessier of Monroe, Louisiana. Also surviving are a stepdaughter, Mrs. John (Wilma) Scott of Springvale, Arkansas; two brothers, Lloyd and Raymond Loveless, both of Lafayette; and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Paul, also of Lafayette.
