Opal V. Kerfoot Kelly Likins, 67, died at 2:50 PM Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1993, in her Lafayette residence. She had been in failing health 11 months. Born Nov. 13, 1925, in Lafayette, she was a life resident of this area. She first married Robert Kelly on June 27, 1943; he died Oct. 22, 1961. On Feb. 5, 1966, she married James Likins. He was a plumber with the Local Plumbers and Steamfitters Union, and preceded her in death March 9, 1987.

Mrs. Likins had worked at the Three Sisters Restaurant, now The Pub, and she also was employed at The Oaks Restaurant. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1154 Ladies Auxiliary.

Surviving are a son, Robert "Jeff" Kelly of West Lafayette, an associate with Mike Raisor Ford, and four sisters, Loretta (Mrs. Fon) Moore of West Point, Clorie "Cody" (Mrs. Clark) Carr of West Lafayette, Mrs. Violet Daggett of Lafayette, and Kay (Mrs. Neal) Bessler of Calhoun, LA; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
