Mr. Alvin Stevens of New Brockton, AL, passed away, Tuesday, August 31, 2010 in Columbus, GA. He was 91.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, September 3, 2010 at El Bethel Assembly of God Church with Rev. Morris Hyatt and Rev. Stephen Comer officiating. Burial will follow in Old Tabernacle Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Thursday at the funeral home. The body of Mr. Stevens will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time.

Mr. Stevens was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Stevens.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mena Lunsford (Brannon) Van Vleck, TX; a son, Bruce Stevens, Columbus, GA; four grandchildren, Steven Lunsford, Laveen, AZ; Scott Lunsford, Lake Jackson, TX; Jonathan Lunsford, Bay City, TX; Bethany Stevens, Tuscaloosa, AL.
