A funeral for Emily B. Ellis of McMinnville will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Macy & Son Funeral Directors, McMinnville, with the Rev. Wayne Deason officiating. Interment will be in Green Crest Memorial Park, Sheridan.
The funeral home will be open for visitation from noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Mrs. Ellis died Oct. 27, 2003, in Oakwood Country Place, McMinnville. She was 90.
She was born June 26, 1913, in Wellsford, Kan., the daughter of Jesse and Carrie Roper Amerine. She was raised and educated in Wellsford.
She and Millard Ellis were married Aug. 7, 1932, in Wellsford.
She lived in Sheridan from 1935 to 1944, then moved to Willamina. She later lived in several Oregon towns before moving to Port Orford. She moved to Madras in 1970. She had lived in McMinnville since 1982.
Mrs. Ellis belonged to the Willamina Christian Church and attended the McMinnville First Church of the Nazarene. She loved to play the piano and had given piano lessons. She enjoyed bowling, crafts and crossword puzzles. She also liked camping, the beach and flower gardening.
Survivors include four sons, Keith Ellis of Sheridan, Donald Ellis and Richard Ellis, both of McMinnville, and Buddy Ellis of Sweet Home; a daughter, Carolyn Littlejohn of Salem; a brother, Marion Amerine of Sheridan; a sister, Edna Deason of McMinnville; 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1993.
