A private, family service will be held for Phebe J. Delker of McMinnville. Private
interment will be in Green Crest Memorial Park, Sheridan.

Mrs. Delker died Dec. 8, 2002, in Oakwood Country Place, McMinnville. She was 82.

She was born Dec. 12, 1919, in Wellsford, Kan., the daughter of Jesse C. and Carrie
C. Roper Amerine. She was raised and educated in Wellsford. She attended Kansas
State University. She moved to McMinnville in 1938.

She and Rienholdt Delker were married Aug. 14, 1941, in Vancouver, Wash.

After marrying, she lived in the Sheridan-Willamina area until 1959. She then lived
in Coos Bay for three years, moving back to Willamina in 1962. She lived in Sheridan
from 1979 to 1989, then moved to McMinnville.

Mrs. Delker enjoyed crafts, cooking, baking and canning. Family members said she was
a very loving and giving wife, mother and grandmother who was always there for her
family.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Sandra Schulze of McMinnville and
Sharon Kihlstadius of Albany; two sisters, Edna Deason and Emily Ellis, both of
McMinnville; a brother, Marion Amerine of Sheridan; six grandchildren and 24
great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Amerine, and two sisters, Mary Alice
Smith and Vivian Crawford.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in care of Macy
& Son Funeral Directors, 135 N.E. Evans St., McMinnville, OR 97128.
