Death of Magee Woman Causes Sincere Mourning By Relatives Here
Mrs. Georgia Bryant, 204 North Prentiss street, was greatly shocked when she was called to the home ot her mother Mrs. Bettie Currie of Magee, who died very suddenly at an early hour that morning.
Mrs. Currie was 68 years old ana a native of Simpson county. She was married to James E. Currie in the year 1878, and was known to be a faithful wife and mother throughout the 51 years of her married life, by those who knew her. She was the mother of ten children, eight of which survive, twenty-eight grandchildren, twenty-five yet living, and one great-grandchild.
Mrs . Currie is survived by her husband, James E. Currie, who is 79 years of age, and sons, Grover, J. B., James E. Jr., and T. J. of Magee; W. M. (Bill) of Montgomery Ala. She also leaves three brothers, Ferdinand. J. B. and T M. Puckett of Magee,
Among the twenty-six grandchildren surviving are Mrs. H. L. Adams, Misses Mabil and Annie Lois Bryant of Jackson, daughters of Mrs. Georgia Bryant, and distinguished characters of the city.
Funeral services were held at the Sharon cemetery, Simpson county, with Rev. D. W. Moulder officiating, and were largely attended. Many floral offerings brought fragrant tributes of love and esteem cherished by: the many friends and loved ones of Mrs. Currie
