The Simpson County native was a member of Sharon Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services were conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday at Mims Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Thomas Bagley and Rev. Sonny Smith officiating. Mims Mitchell Funeral Home of Magee was in charge of arrangements and burial was at Sharon Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Currie of Magee, 1 sister, Mrs. Della Keys of Magee and a number of nieces and nephews.
