Funeral services for R. D. [sic R. B.] Roberts, 70, of Laurel Heights, Winnfield, who died at 7 p.m. Thursday, December 26, 1957, were held at the Pollock Baptist Church at 2:30 p.m. December 28 with Rev. Willie James officiating. Assisting with the services were Rev. Mose Mercer and Rev. Johnson, pastor of the Bentley Church. Burial was in Pollock Cemetery under direction of Hixson Funeral Home.

Acting as pallbearers were Emmitt Leckie, M. J. Berry, Buddy Bates, J. R. Sholars, C. C. Taylor, and James Thomas.

Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife of Laurel Heights; five sons, Harry D. of Bentley, L. B Freeman of Alexandria, R. W. and Sherman of Winnfield, and John of Baton Rouge; three daughters, Mrs. Eugene Boyette of Winnfield, Mrs. C. H. Day of Trout, and Mrs. H. T. McDaniel of Baton Rouge.

Mr. Roberts also leaves two brothers, Albert of Washington, Edgar of Carlisle, Ark.; two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Castleberry of England, Ark., and Mrs. Ida Faulk of St. Louis, Mo., and 13 grandchildren.
