Albert married Elmire Ella Reese on 31 Oct 1898 in Lancaster, Pa. He stated he was 24 years of age, born in New Providence Township, Lancaster Co, Pa., a laborer and currently living on South Prince Street in Lancaster. Elmira was 18 - also born in New Providence Township. Her mother gave written consent for Almira to marry. Source: Lancaster County license #14837.

Mrs. Ella Duncan, widow of Albert E. Duncan, seventy-three, died yesterday at 10:30 a.m. at the home of Herbert Kuhns, 429 Beaver St., where she resided. Death followed an illness of two and one-half years. She was born in New Providence, a daughter of the late Abram and Rachel Reese, and was a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church. Surviving are the following children: Lewis E., William F., Edna M., wife of Charles Ream, and Albert E., all of Lancaster; Ethel V., wife of Martin Speece, Lancaster R7; Raymond F., Lancaster; Paul A., Strasburg; and Verna E, wife of Clayton S. Boyer, Lancaster; also 28 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral Home of Fred F. Groff handled the arrangements. Interment in the Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.
