Son of Elvira "Elvie" Caroline Hensley. His first wife - Minnie W. Crawford (2 Oct 1896 - 29 Nov 1925), daughter of Thomas Crawford & Martha Morris - died of typhoid fever and is buried in the Moses Morris cemetery in Greene County (the information on her memorial is incorrect).

ELKTON - Albert Thouston [sic] Hensley, 78, of Rt. 1, Elkton was dead on arrival at Rockingham Memorial Hospital Friday afternoon after suffering an apparent heart attack.

Mr. Hensley was born July 2, 1896 in Rockingham County and was the son of the late Mrs. Elvie Hensley. He had worked at Merck and for the A. B. Torrence Co.

On Dec. 26, 1926, he married the former Blanche Shifflett, who survives.

Also surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Pauline Comer of Shenandoah, Mrs. Ruth Lam of Elkton, Mrs. Shirley Lawson of McGaheysville, Mrs. Hilda Taylor of Charlottesville and Mrs. Elvina Deale of Baltimore; seven sons, Leo, Oliver and Carroll Hensley, all of Elkton, Gary Lee Hensley, at Home, Aubrey Hensley of Dyke, Reese Hensley of Front Royal and Marion Hensley of Alexandria; 28 grandchildren, and a number of great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday at the Elkton Mennonite Church by the Rev. Orval M. Shank and the Rev. Harold H. Lahman. Burial will be in Elk Run Cemetery.

The body will be taken from the Brill Funeral Home to the Hensley home 4 p.m. Sunday.
