Shirley Ann Kyger, 63, of Shenandoah, died Friday, May 2, 2003, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg. Mrs. Kyger was born June 30, 1939, in Rockingham County, and was a daughter of the late Albert and Blanche Shifflett Hensley. She was a homemaker and a member of the Episcopal Church. Her husband, Lee Austin Kyger, preceded her in death May 10, 1987. She is survived by a son, Gary Hensley of Mathias, W.Va.; three brothers, Oliver Hensley and Carroll Hensley, both of Elkton, and Marion Hensley of Alexandria; two sisters, Alvani Hensley of Alexandria and Pauline Comer of Shenandoah; two grandchildren; one stepgrandchild and three great-grandchildren. The Rev. Hudson Nuckols will conduct the funeral 2 p.m. Sunday at the Kyger Funeral Home in Shenandoah. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this evening at the funeral home. Friends may call at the residence at other times. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shenandoah Rescue Squad, 544 Fourth St., Shenandoah, Va., 22849.
