OGDEN -Our Precious Sweetheart and loving mother... Florence Hart Champneys, returned to her Heavenly Father and her eternal family peacefully on July 25, 2007. Florence was born May 30, 1921 in Ogden, Utah to Pieter and Lucretia Tekelenburg Hart. She married Thomas DeRay Champneys in the Salt Lake Temple on April 4, 1945.
She was a life long member of the LDS Church and a devoted member of the Lorin Farr 3rd Ward (formerly the Ogden 21st Ward). She served in many church callings; including Stake Relief Society secretary and as a Temple Ordinance worker in the Ogden Temple, where she served with her husband Tom for nearly ten years. She had a deep faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which she demonstrated by her service.
She enjoyed working as a cashier in the admitting office at the McKay-Dee Hospital for 25 years.
She was a wonderful homemaker and skilled in homemaking arts; she especially enjoyed baking pies and bread, canning, caring for her family, crocheting and playing the piano and organ.
She is survived by her husband Tom; children Norma Kay Love, Ogden, Gayle (Mark) Bankhead, Mesa, AZ, Renee (Brent) Jeppsen, Clinton and Wanda (Val) Knight, Farr West; 20 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren and her brother Clyde (Harriett) Hart.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 30, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd. Friends and family may call on Sunday, July 29th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday prior to the service from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
