Ilene Jolley Penrod Lowder, 79, passed away Sept 19, 2002 from Pancreatic cancer.

She was born May 8,1923 in Tropic, UT to Henry Alpheus Jolley and Mabel Rappleye. She married William G. Penrod Feb 6, 1943. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. They lived their 50 years together in Elberta, UT. Bill died June 4, 1987. Ilene later married Glenn Lowder Sept 3, 1993. They have resided in Springville.

Mother spent her life in the service of others. She loved the scriptures and studied them daily. She served a mission to the Washington D.C. Temple

She is survived by her husband, Glenn; six children, Patricia (John) Sloan, Sandy, Kathryn (Kay) Gates, Elberta, Joyce (Terry) Spencer, Riverton, William, Provo, Richard, Salt Lake City, Paul (Lolly), Payson; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Ilene was the "Last Leaf" on her family tree, preceded in death by her parents, 12 brothers and sisters, and a granddaughter.

Services will be Mon. Sept 23, 2002 1 p.m., Kolob 8th Ward chapel, 840 S. 400 E, Springville. Friends and family may call 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. before services. Interment, Goshen City Cemetery.

The family expresses deep love and appreciation to Glenn and Hospice for the loving care of our mother.
