Donald Alphose Vaudrin, 73, of South Milwaukee, Wisc. and formerly of the Gentilly area, died on Sunday March 26, 1995 of natural causes at his home.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2 PM in St. Joseph Catholic Church of Red Lake Falls. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm., with an 8 pm prayer service at the Patterson Funeral Home of Red Lake Falls, and Also on Thursday until 1:30 pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery of Red Lake Falls in the spring.

Donald was born on Oct 17, 1921 in Gentilly township, the son of the late Napoleon and Lea (Gervais) Vaudrin. He grew up in the Gentilly Township and attended school there. He served in the US Army during WWII and was honorable discharged on Jan. 11, 1946.

He married Marlys Mercil in Crookston in 1946, and Marlys still lives in Crookston. He has resided in South Milwaukee area since 1956 and had worked for the American Motor Company. He then owned and operated a tavern in South Milwaukee.

Survivors include a daughter, Sylvia Lunos, Euless, Texas; a son Billy, Crookston; a sister Annette Audette, Red Lake Falls; three brothers, Raymond, Thief River Falls, Thomas, Crookston; and Maurice, Grand Rapids, Minn; and three grand children.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Amedie, Orphier, and Emil; and three sisters, Antonia Amiot, Cecilia Perreault, and an infant sister.
