Edna L. Rogers, 88, of Benton, TN passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016. Everyone knew Edna from her small clothing store that she operated for years in Benton. When Edna was in her seventies and eighties, she loved to deliver meals on wheels and look after friends. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie O. Rogers; daughter, Alva Elizabeth Rogers; parents, Burch and Lena Godfrey Maynor; brothers, Charles Maynor, Burch Maynor, Frank Maynor; brother-in-law, F. B. Chastain; sisters-in-law, Jo Maynor and Kay Maynor.
She is survived by her sons, Bennie and John, and daughter, Suzanne; sisters, Peggy Chastain, Jean; brother, Broughton Maynor.
Funeral services will be conducted at Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Benton, TN with the Reverend Harold Firestone and Reverend Matt Maynor officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
