Peggy was the daughter of Burch and Lena Belle Godfrey Maynor and some of her siblings were Edna, Charles, Jeanie, Burch, Broughten and Frank.

Peggy married Franklin Boyd 'Doc' Chastain and they were parents of David and Melissa. Peggy was a nurse for many years, working in a variety of places. She was always a smiling, loving, caring person, dearly loved by all her patients, family and friends.
