Mrs. Ruby M. Smith, 62, of 304 West 15th Street passed away Wednesday, March 14, 1981, at Irwin Army Hospital, Fort Riley, Kansas. She was born May 11, 1918 at Abilene, Kansas the daughter of Charles and Alice Bowers.
Ruby attended grade and high school in Abilene, She was a homemaker in Ogden for most of her married life. She was a member of the Ogden Union Church and the Auxiliary of George Lee Wingate Post #207 of the American Legion.
Ruby was united in marriage to Marion C. Smith on December 18, 1935 at Abilene. The were preceded in death by a son, Gaylord Wayne Smith, in 1973.
She is survived by her husband:Marion C. Smith of the home; a daughter: Mrs Lewis (Virginia) Shepard of Ogden; two brothers: Ellis Bowers of Abilene and Eldon Bowers of San Francisco, California; ten grandchildren; additional relatives and friends.
