Mary Hawley was born to Ozias and Sarah Spring Hawley of Berkshire county, Massachusettes. She married Erastus Snow of Ashford, Connecticut on April 15, 1829 in Freedom Township, Ohio. To their marriage were born five children: Frank, Sarah, Mary Lucetia, Francis David, and an infant.
