Deloris M. "Fat" Caffee, 97, of Geneva, IN, passed away at 2:36 PM on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Swiss Village in Berne, IN. She was born on Saturday, April 19, 1919, in Mercer Co., OH. She married Eugene Caffee on Tuesday, September 21, 1937 in Chattanooga, OH. Deloris “Fat" was a life time resident of the Geneva Community. She was a homemaker and helped on the family dairy operation. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed baking. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles and watching IU basketball. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Chattanooga, OH, and was also a member of the Ladies Aid at the church.

Loving Survivors Include: Daughter - Judith Kay (Philip) Baumgartner, Mansfield, OH,
Sons - Robert L. (Sue) Caffee, Berne, IN, Dennis E. (Rebecca) Caffee, Geneva, IN, Sister - Betty Haviland, Geneva, IN, Brother - Lester Bransteter, Indianapolis, IN, 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her Father - Charles A. Bransteter, Mother - Nellie (McGough) Bransteter, Husband - Eugene Caffee, Sisters - Freda Bryie, Garni Bollenbacher, Creva Bollenbacher, Thelma Tester, and Irma Miller, Wilma Geade, and Hazel Granger, Brothers - Charles Bransteter, Argyle Bransteter, Chester Bransteter, Richard Bransteter, and Grandson- Kerry Baumgartner.


Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Swiss Village 1350 W. Main St. Berne on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

A service to celebrate her life will be at Swiss Village at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 with the Pastor Karen Tamorria officiating. Interment will follow in the M.R.E. Cemetery in Berne.
