BALLENGER – Rosary for James Harrison Mapes, 76, will be said at 8 p.m. Monday in Davis Chapel.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a,m, Tuesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Patrick Casey officiating.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mr. Mapes died Saturday at Bay City.

Surviving are three sons, Royce of Fort Stockton, W. J. of Snyder and Milton of Lubbock; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret N. Phillips of Great Lakes, Ill., and Mrs. Maxine Moumbower of Los Gatos, Calif.; two brothers, Pryor of California and Leo of Dallas; four sisters, Mrs. Newt Wardlaw of Waco, Mrs. Clay Rayburn and Annie B. Mapes of San Angelo, and Mrs. Lena Fritts of El Paso; 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
