Ike Pryor Mapes a former Texas farmer and rancher, died Friday in an El Cajon convalescent center. He was 90.

Mr. Mapes, of 8640 Mariposa St., was a native of Runnels County, Texas, where he was a cattle and sheep rancher for more than 30 years. During that time he served as an agricultural information agent for the government. He came to San Diego 27 years ago.

Surviving are two sons, Joel A. of La Mesa and Ike P. Jr. of North Highland, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Katherine Karley of La Mesa, Mrs. Marion N. Lowry of Lakeside, and Mrs. Dora A. Sugg of San Angelo, Texas; four sisters, Mrs. Lena N. Fritts of El Paso, Texas, Mrs. Anna B. Mapes of San Angelo, Texas, Mrs. Laura Rayburn of Houston, Texas, and Mrs. Willie Wardlaw of Waco, Texas; a brother, Leo B. of Dallas; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday in the Evergreen Cemetery in Ballinger, Texas. Greenwood Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
