Jack Nuby was born in Bledsoe County, Pikeville,Tennessee. He worked at the Perry Stove Manufacturing Company. This factory ceased operations in the city a few years back and the original building, facing Cedar Avenue, was razed in the spring of 2003.

Jack Nuby and Susan Evans Nuby which lived in Big Coon, Jackson County, Alabama, they had the following children: five sons, George Nuby married Gussie Turner, Frank McKinley Nuby married Bernice Payne, James Andrew Nuby married Meldia V. Armstrong, Samuel L. Nuby married Sarah Malinda Armstrong, and Benjamin Harrison Nuby married Pinkie Viola Armstrong., Four daughters Martha Nuby married William H. Bohannon, Celia Elizabeth Nuby married Felix Leander Ashley, Leola Nuby, and Docia Nuby married Earest Foster.

Jack Nuby changed the spelling from Newby to Nuby for some reason early in 1900's. But Aunt Martha Newby birth certificate was NEWBY per Auth Martha before she passed away.

This is cenus record from Bledsoe County where I knew they lived back then.
