GEORGE ALBERS
George Albers was born Nov. 5, 1875, in Gage county near Courtland, Neb ., the eldest of 12 children born to Mr. and Mrs. Gerd Albers.
He lived there until 1918 when he , with his family, came to Colorado, settling first at Haxtun, and in 1935 coming to Steamboat .
On Jan. 17, 1901, he married Margaret Geisler, and to this union three children were born. One son and an infant daughter preceded their father in death and the remaining son is Dr. V. G. Albers of Denver.
Mr. Albers was a member of the Modern Woodmen Fraternal organization and of the Presbyterian church of Paola, Colo., serving as elder for many years.
Mr. Albers died July 22, 1954, and funeral services were held July 25 at the Root mortuary in Steamboat. Rev. S. T. Freeman of Euzoa Congregational church officiated.
