Randy W. Lockhart, 43, of Palestine passed away Friday, Dec. 22, 2006, as a result of an auto accident.

Born in Wood County, he is the son of Melvin and Pauline Nutter Lockhart of Palestine. He had been in sheet metal since he was 18 and an owner of Singer Sheet Metal of Parkersburg. He received his American Farmers Degree. He most recently attended Elizabeth United Methodist Church and was a member of the Palestine United Methodist Church. He enjoyed farming and hunting.

Surviving along with his parents are his wife, Anita Lemon Lockhart; a son, Mitchell W. Lockhart of Virginia Beach, Va.; stepdaughters, Nicole R. Osborne of Huntington and Kayla R. Osborne, a student at West Virginia University; a sister, Lou Ann and Jeff Thorn of Palestine; a nephew, Justin Thorn of Palestine; and father and mother-in-law, James and Helen Lambreau Lemon of Belpre.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Lee Lockhart; paternal grandparents, Ivan and Ica Lockhart; and maternal grandparents, George and Gertie Nutter.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Matheny Pomroy Funeral Home of Elizabeth, with the Revs. Harold Francis and Jim Bruce officiating. Burial will be in the Shiloh Cemetery of Palestine. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
