Sarah Viola Centers was born the second of ten children to James Wesley Centers and Sarah Martha Forbes.

On 25 Feb 1900, she married William Henry Simmons in Putnam County, Missouri. Ola and Bill moved to Weippe, (now Clearwater County), Idaho before Nov 1902 where their first child was born. Bill's parents and younger siblings made the move also.

Ola and Bill had seven children: Lilly Ruth, Mabel Irene, twins, Alta Pluma and Alice, Ruby E., Ada Viola, and William Howard.

Ola lived to be 101 years old and was spry and alert. She was my paternal great aunt, and I have great memories of her "outwalking" my maternal great grandmother who was younger than she. They were neighbors in a retirement community and used to walk to the store together in their 90s.
