Anna Belle Taylor, 64, Medora, died at 5:25 a.m. Monday, July 26, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour. She was born Nov. 27, 1945 in Jackson County to the late Samuel and Vivian Osborne Barnard. She married Charles "Sonny" Taylor, and he preceded her in death on June 20, 1999. A lifelong member of the Kurtz Church of the Nazarene, she enjoyed being a homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, painting, flowers, crafts, bowling and hunting mushrooms. Survivors include four children, Twyla (David) Butcher of Bloomington, Angie (Chuck) Crawford of Medora, Monty Taylor of Vallonia, and Michelle Cogdill of Medora; seven grandchildren, Nick (Amanda) Butcher, Ashley (Lance) Blackwell, Stephen Crawford, Buff Crawford, Joe Taylor, Whitney Cogdill, and Allie Cogdill; one great-grandchild, Layne Blackwell; three sisters, Nila Mize of Sullivan, Sarah Wooldridge of Medora, and Ruth Nelson of Norman; three brothers, Marcus (Phyllis) Barnard of Kurtz, Emmitt (Phyllis) Barnard of Indianapolis, and Hershall (Joyce) Barnard of Seymour; a special friend, Dave Schlatterer, and a sister-in-law, Shirley Barnard of Zephyrhills, Fla. A brother, Oakley Barnard, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 29, at the Kurtz Church of the Nazarene with Floyd Fisher officiating. Burial will be in the Kurtz Cemetery. Friends may call at the Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home in Brownstown from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, and at the church on Thursday from 11 a.m. until time of the service.
