S. Wayne Terry October 3, 1938 ~ July 15, 2010 LOS ALAMITOS, CA ~ S. Wayne Terry, of Camino CA, died Thursday, July 15, 2010 at a hospital in Los Alamitos CA at the age of 71 after an illness of 17 months. He was born October 3, 1938 in Lyman NE. He was a graduate of North Salem High School, Oregon State College, and the University of Illinois. He retired in 1997 from a career of 31 years with Chevron. He was a member of the Folsom Point Church of Christ in Folsom CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester & Carrie (Fisher) Terry, father-in-law, Glen C. Siems, brother-in-law, Sam Heinrich, and sister-in-law, Teryl Ann Terry. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley of 53 years, whom he married June 25, 1957; three children, Lori & Tom Washburn of Ridgefield WA, Greg & Anna Terry of Tracy CA and Melissa & Brent Ferguson of Long Beach CA; eight grandchildren, Ryan & Nathan Washburn, Jacob, Brendan, Aidan & Kaitlyn Terry and Cari & Tyler Ferguson; sisters, Leah Heinrich of Scottsbluff NE, LaVonne & Lee Karsten of Lake Tapps WA, and Sharon & Glenn Folkert of Salem OR; one brother, Monte Terry of Copalis Beach WA; mother-in-law Arlene Siems of Salem OR. A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 14, 1 p.m. at the Church of Christ, 3745 Market Street NE, Salem, with burial following at 3 p.m. at Belcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stanford University Amyloid Center, 300 Pasteur Drive, Stanford, CA 94304. Funeral arrangements are being made through Howell-Edwards-Doerksen Funeral Home in Salem.
