J. Strine A Galena Grocer, Succumbs
Galena, Kans., Feb. 26 — John Strine, 51 years old, a Galena grocer, died at his home 1019 Euclid Street, at 10:10 o'clock last night following a two year's illness. The body will be taken to Monrovia, Kans., tonight for burial.
Mr. Strine was a resident of Galena for about twelve years. During the last year, he operated a store at Eleventh and Euclid streets.
He is survived by his wife Maggie Strine, and a son, Ernest Strine of Galena; his mother Sophronia A. Strine of Monrovia; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Olson of Monrovia, and two brothers, Harry and Arch Strine of Monrovia.

Harry Strine left Thursday, in response to a message announcing the death of his brother, John at Galena, Kansas, Wednesday. The body will be brought to Monrovia for burial. John Strine was about 52 years of age, and was the eldest living son of Mrs. Sophronia Strine of Monrovia. He is survived by his widow and an adopted son, now 18 years of age. Death was due to complications following the flu.
The body of John Strine arrived in Monrovia today noon, from Galena, accompanied by Mrs. Strine and her son. and her sister of Kansas City. THe funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 o'clock at the Methodist church in Monrovia.
