Arch Strine, the son of Jacob and Saphronia Strine, was married to Emma McLenon on the 29th of January, 1908. They were the parents of Doris Strine Sharp, Lois Strine Hawk, Owen (Mike) Strine and adopted son, William Sharp. Mr. strine was the brother of Alfred Strine, John Strine, Harry Strine and Pearl Strine Olson.

Mr. Strine was born in Marion County, Ohio, Sept. 22, 1878. He came to Monrovia with his parents nearly fifty years ago. Had he lived until the 29th of this month, he and Mrs. Strine, who was formerly Miss Emma McLenon, would have celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary.
"Beside his widow, the deceased is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Doris Sharp and Mrs. Lois Hawk. Both, with their husbands, live at the Strine home, owing to the poor health of Mr. and Mrs. Strine, and at their urgent request.
"He is survived by a small son, Owen, 10 years old, of the home.
"Mr. and Mrs. Strine reared Wm Sharp, who became their son-in-law, Dec. 24. An own son could not think more of his own parents that did Mr. Sharp of Mr. and Mrs. Strine and the reverse was also true.
